Last week I had the wonderful Beth from Pursuing the Magic as a Guest as part of my Disney Summer Fun Series! She shared a yummy sounding recipe for 'Ohana Honey Lime Dressing from WDW Guest Servies! So yummy sounding ... I decided to give it a try! :)
I didn't have all the exact ingredients to hand, so I substituted some :) First I grabbed mixing bowl and added 1/2 a cup of honey :)
The next ingredient on the WDW recipe is 1 teaspoon dry mustard ... which I didn't have, but a quick google search told me I could use paprika as a substitute :) So in with 1 teaspoon of paprika!
Next, 1 teaspoon of salt ...
The WDW recipe says to add 1/2 a cup of cider vinegar next, but again this was something I didn't have, so I just used regular Malt Vinegar :)
Next I added 1/4 cup of lime juice :) I cheated and used the ready squeezed kind in a bottle! :P
Then I added 1/4 cup of diced onion :) I'm not exactly swish with a kitchen knife - I tried my best but it ended up in chunks rather than diced! So I just sorta kept chopping over and over until the onion was smooshed!
Once I added the onion to the bowl, I used a hand held electric blender to mix it all together until smooth!
Next, the WDW recipe says to add 1 cup of canola oil ... I didn't have any but I read online I could use vegetable oil since the taste isn't all that different. I added a little at a time, blending in between until it was all mixed in :)
All done! Then I drizzled onto iceberg lettuce and nommed!
Boy was it scrummy!! So scrummy my lil sis, who never eats vegetables, had a whole bowl of salad! Later on my mum made chicken and salad for dinner so I brought out the dressing and Dad ended up pouring it all over his chicken too! It went down a treat! :D Thank you so much Beth for sharing this brilliant recipe!! :D
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!! :D
