Magical Blogorail Black - The Best Thing to Happen to WDW in the Last 40 Years!

Welcome to those of you joining me from The Disney Chick! And also to those of you just hopping aboard! I am the 3rd stop on our Magical Blogorail :)

This week, members of Magical Blogorail Black are writing about the best thing to happen to WDW in the last 40 years!

Saying this was tricky for me is a total understatement! Here's my confession ... I've never been to Walt Disney World, I've only ever been to Disneyland Paris! When it comes to Dlp I pretty much know it inside out ... but Walt Disney World? I'm stumped :P So I researched it's history and timeline ... and the truth is, I couldn't pin point one single best thing to have happened over the last 40 years! The other three parks - Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom have all been 'best things' in their own right, since they weren't there when the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971. So rather than try to choose one single 'best thing' that's happened in Wdw in the last 40 years ... I thought I would write about the 'best thing' that's happened to Wdw that I'm most jealous of compared to my native Disneyland Paris - the opening of Disney's Wedding Pavilion in 1995!

Disneyland Paris has nothing like this at the moment :( So browsing through the Disney Weddings website for Walt Disney World has left me gob-smacked! I knew Wdw did weddings ... but I had no idea just how much they had to offer! A massive part of the Disney philosophy is making dreams come true ... and boy do they do it when it comes to weddings!!

Forgive me if you already know :P But this is incredibly exciting and new information for me! lol! I thought the only area available for Weddings at Wdw was the Pavilion, but the Wedding Ceremony can be conducted at a range of locations across Walt Disney World ... even in front of Cinderella Castle! The Reception can also be held at a variety of locations including the resorts, areas inside some of the parks ... even on some of Disney's beaches! There's also the option of Desert Parties at locations across Epcot in view of fireworks or on a private terrace in the Studios for Fantasmic! To round up the celebrations the next day, Disney also offers a farewell brunch in areas across the resorts, in some of the parks and on some of the beaches :)

I was also super excited to find out about Franck's Bridal Studio! I love Franck in 'Father of the Bride' - he's hilarious! To see his studio brought to life is just amazing! I can't even imagine how magical it must be to meet there with a Wedding specialist to organise a dream Disney Fairytale Wedding!!

If Disneyland Paris did Weddings, it would be my first choice! It holds so many beautiful memories not only for me but also for my family :) But until then (hopefully!) Wdw will definitely do! :P
Now ... how to start dropping hints to the bf ... lol!

Thank you for joining me today :)

The wedding facilities are truly beautiful. Too bad they're so expensive. My daughter would LOVE to get married at WDW, but alas, it's a bit out of the price range (of course, we're not ready for a wedding just yet either!)
