Disney Blog Hop Thursday - Disney Summer!

Welcome to this weeks Disney Blog Hop hosted by Babes in Disneyland and co-hosted by Disney on Wheels! If you are new to the hop ... welcome! If you've been here before ... it's awesome to see you again!! :D Please make sure you check out the rest of the Disney Blog Hoppers over at the Babes in Disneyland blog or at Disney on Wheels!

This weeks theme is Disney Summer!

I can't remember where I found this ... but how cool is that!? I wish the sunsets in all the Disney Parks looked like this! lol!

I've only ever been to Disneyland Paris in the Summer - either July or August! I haven't been during the wintery seasons - Halloween, Fireworks Night and Christmas - yet :P
There is so much I love about Dlp in the Summer time, first up is the food!

Here's my bf tucking into Ben and Jerrys ice cream from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour on Main Street U.S.A! I'm pretty sure ice cream is available all year long, but you can't beat sitting on Main Street in the Summer sunshine with nommy ice cream! :) He likes chocolatey ones the best and I like fruity ones :) But we both love plenty of chocolate fishes on top! :)

I also love that you can get amazing photos of Sleeping Beauty's Castle! This was taken early in the morning, not long after park opening ... they sky was SO blue! Not a single cloud in sight! I was lucky enough to experience quite a few mornings just like this ... they make the whole park look spectacular!

And just as stunning as the Summer mornings in Dlp, are the gorgeous Summer evenings ...

The purpley pinks in the clouds make Sleeping Beauty's Castle even more fairytale like than it already is!

But my most favourite thing about Summer in Dlp has to be the Fantillusion Parade and Summer Fireworks! I can't even express how much I love the Fantillusion parade! It's a 10/10 for goosebumps effect ( but then again, so are all the Disney parades and shows! :P ) I remember seeing it the year it started running in Dlp in 2003 - the crowds were going bananas! There was a group next to me and my family who were aged 19-24 I'd say, and were loving it! They were dancing with each other and yelling "WOOOO! (INSERT NAME OF CHARACTER PASSING BY HERE)!!" and waving at all the characters like crazy! It was hilarious! One guy even confessed his undying love to each princess as she went past!

And the fireworks? They speak for themselves :P Over the years I've seen the Peter Pan fireworks, the Legend of the Lion King Fireworks, Wishes and Enchanted Fireworks! I've even been lucky enough to see the 'Bastille Day' fireworks! My family and bf have caught me every time gazing up into the sky with my gob wide open in amazement!

I'll say more about the Fantillusion parade and Summer Fireworks in my "Disney in Summertime" series coming up in July and August! Also, for the first time at Mandas Disney Blog, I'll be featuring some wonderful guest bloggers in the series too! I can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by! And a big Thank You to Lisa and Melissa for hosting! :D
Have a brilliant Thursday everyone!

It all looks so amazing. I want to go!

Not only have you captured the castle sans clouds, but there is no crowd surrounding it either. Very beautiful photo.

Oddly enough, my wife and I were talking last night that we should do Paris next summer. We have been twice, and did DLP both times, but both of our trips were in January. Cold and dreary. But the crowds were light so we got in both parks in one day both times:)

Stopped by via the blog hop...

Paris has been on my "someday I'd love to go there" since I took French in high school - and reading about DLP on your blog only makes me more eager for "someday" to get here already!

You should definitely visit in summer Deej! The parks are open so late! :D It's busier in the summer of course but I usually go towards the end of August when the schools are starting to go back, so it start to get a little bit quieter :)
Tricia! Go to Paris!! :D I'm the same with the American parks! :P I haven't even set foot on American soil yet but I hope to get to Walt Disney World this year! :D

Oh my goodness! Your pictures are gorgeous and make me so envious! I have always wanted to go to Disneyland Paris, hopefully I will get there one day!! I do have to agree with you though - even if you can get ice cream throughout the year, there is nothing better than cooling off with some yummy (chocolate for me please!) ice cream while taking in all the sights of Disney :)

Ahhh I love that pic of the Mickey sunset. It reminds me of a Disney Cruise and mine can not come soon enough lol. So thank you for that little slice of Disney, that means a lot coming from someone who has been looking at Disney pics for the last 2 hours lol.
